Polyurethane Coatings

Tech Edge is aware of the extreme dangers that shack dwellers endure. Our sprayed coating offers:

• Insulation against extremes of temperature
  
• Fewer open fires inside the structure (which increases safety)
  
• Reduced inhalation of noxious gases from open fires
  
• Protection against fire hazards.
  
• Protection against drafts and flying insects.
  

Due to the high cost of imported equipment, Tech Edge designed and manufactured a South African response to provide a more robust, cost effective and successful solution to spray structures with a coating of expandable polyurethane. The chemical mix was adapted to include UV resistance as well as being fire retardant.

Tech Edge has also developed FyroLastic, a fire retardant paint that could be used to further protect the home structure.

Applications have been extended to agricultural use cases such as milking sheds and chicken runs.
