Mobile Mine Rescue Winders

The Deep Level MRW is capable of conveying one person and medical equipment to depths of up to 1200m in the smallest cage.

It is mounted on a Mercedes Benz Atego 4 x 4 truck with rough terrain capability, and the hydraulic drive system can be powered by the 4,5l, 130kW diesel truck engine via power take off, or generator supplied electricity.

Other features include a Weldox 600mm diameter drum with double brake paths, each having two Svendborg 300 series disc brakes, and 13 mm non-spin rope for unguided conveyance in a rescue situation.

This particular vehicle was designed and manufactured for Mines Rescue Services, South Africa. We have the capability to tailor MRWs to any customer specification.
